Banorte asks to restrict Mexican access to bank accounts

Grupo Financiero Banorte (GFNorte) asked the Bankruptcy Court in New York, Mexicana Airlines to prevent access to funds deposited in accounts where the credit card payments made by customers in the USA and Mexico.
Banorte, which gave the airline a loan of one thousand 572 million pesos in April 2008, was to guarantee the amounts of these accounts since it was negotiated.
According to information from Radio Formula, the bank said they had suspicions that the payment of tickets purchased with credit cards were not being deposited in the accounts.
